President 2016/17 - Beth Langley

Hi, I'm Beth, I have previously been garden manager at the Hungry for Change Brookfield plot. I'm a third year English student and have been part of the society since October 2015. I was elected as the 2016/17 President in the summer of 2016 and look forward to taking on the role. I am passionate about this project, the garden and the fruits, vegetables, and friendships we grow there. This project is also important in terms of demonstrating an organic and sustainable lifestyle, through events at the university for example, and I am proud to be a volunteer and committee member for it.

Hi my name is Shawana, I'm a Canadian LLB law student. I've been involved with Hungry for Change since October 2015 and so far its been an amazing experience and good for relieving stress from school work.  As the Event Coordinator I was responsible for planning and organising awesome events for society members. This year I take on the Vice President role and help lead the group. I am also running as jam project, using fruit grown at our Brookfield plot.

Treasurer 2016/17 - Loretta-Ann

Hello! I’m Loretta-Ann and I’m a BSc Geography student.

I have been a volunteer at the Brookfield plot since February 2016 and, as a result of the enjoyment I experienced from this voluntary experience, I have become the Treasurer for the   2016/17 academic year.

Personally, the environment and sustainability are topics I am very fond of, and these concepts are evident in the values behind the project. I am looking forward to seeing how these ideas develop this year, and I’m very excited to be a part of it!
