Constitution

The way the Students' Union is established and operates in law is set out in its constitution. It is approved by the Unions' Trustee Board, the University and the Charity Commission.

Within the Constitution, there are a series of by-laws that have been adopted to add detail to how the Students Union conducts its affairs and is governed. This includes: how elections are run, the terms of reference for Union Committees and how officers are held to account.

A full copy of our Constitution is available to download and view here.

Click here to view our 'Mini' Constitution. It briefly goes over the general information in the constitution but in a smaller document. If you are looking for something specific or important, it is always best to double check for any further information in the main constitution above!
