Every October people across the UK come together to celebrate Black History Month which highlights and celebrates the achievements of the Black community.

Black History Month is open to participation by everyone and is ideally developed, delivered and managed as an educational and historical awareness experience by Black people and should be shared by everyone as world history.

Here at the Students' Union we are hosting a series of student-led initiatives to recognise Black History Month and its importance; with discussions on existing structural barriers in society and how we can work on breaking them down.  If your society is holding an event to celebrate Black History, let us know so we can advertise.
