We’re kicking off 2018 with one of our big campaigns called Empowered. This will be a series of sessions throughout the term for students who are from liberation backgrounds (Women, LGBT+, BAME, and Disabled). Empowered is a part of the LiberatED – No Barriers In Education initiative where we aim to create a sense of community and an inclusive campus in a sector of inequality and known attainment gaps.
Your Students’ Union is going to put on leadership sessions, workshops, and talks as part of Empowered. We have a campaign budget and will fund projects that tie into the aims of Empowered, if you want to know more, give Azza a shout!
We also want to showcase YOU so tell us about a time where you’ve felt empowered or you overcame a barrier in education by sending Azza your story.
