Black Student Experience Working Group

University of Leicester Students' Union

Thu 11 May 2023 16:00-18:00

Board Room, Opportunities Hub, Percy Gee Building and Online

In collaboration with the University, we are creating a safe space for Black students to share their experiences at the University of Leicester, with the aim of constructively improving their time, through the addressing of issues around inclusivity, education, facilities, training, support, and more.

We are using the word Black to be interpreted as those of African and Caribbean heritage, rather than politically Black.

Session Focus:

Academics

  • Course Content
  • Assignments
  • Personal Tutorial Arrangements

We are looking for a minimum of 8 students to join per session, with the addition of representatives from key stakeholder societies and course/school reps. You do not have to commit to every session, only 1! Find the session focus that you feel is right for you!

Snacks and drinks will be provided and you will get a passport stamp for society members who join.
