nThe Leicester Dermatology Society promotes education in all things de
rm-related. \;We are hosting this annual suturing workshop in order
to promote the early enforcement of necessary clinical skills. \;Ade
quate techniques in order to \;close different types of wounds has bo
th positive functional \;and cosmetic outcomes for patients and prove
s a useful and necessary skill in the field of medicine. \;We encour
age medical students\, especially of younger years\, to expose themselves
to interesting and fun learning opportunities in spaces which foster saf
ety and team-working. \;The funds raised \;serve to further the
DermSoc'\;s reach in being able to provide workshops like these and ac
commodate more students each year.
\n\nWe especially thank those de
rmatologists and other clinicians \;involved in the teaching aspect o
f this event.
