o Q|Topia&gt\;&#39\;s 2023 Qiskit fall fest\, based at the Univeristy of
Leicester and online. Qiskit fall fest is a world winter series of studen
t run events on University campuses. These events primarily focus on deve
loping community competence and knowledge in the increasingly impactful f
ield of Quantum Computing using Qiskit- IBM&#39\;s Quantum Computing Pyth
on package. At Leicester\, this multidisciplinary\, begginer friendly eve
nt will be over the weekend of the 25th and 26th of November. You can exp
ect lots of inspiring conversation\, networking\, experimenting with educ
ational games and artwork\, learning of fundamentals and a challenging ha
ckathon with a financial prize! Read on to find out more about this excit
 ing event.</h3>\n\n<h1>Participants&#39\; Guidebook</h1>\n\n<h2>Registrat
ion</h2>\n\n<p>All participants are required to complete an online form b
efore buying event tickets. This can be found here [insert link]. There i
s no limit on the number of online participants\, however the in-person p
articipants limit per day is 150. If you&#39\;re applying for the Hackath
on\, applicaitons will be shortlisted to 20 in person and 20 remote hacke
rs. Thus\, we cannot guarantee the constancy of the application deadline-
if spaces run out sooner\, applications will close early so make sure to
book your ticket soon!</p>\n\n<h2>What to bring</h2>\n\n<p>During the ev
ent\, we will provide computers and headphones for participants to use du
ring the event. There will be lunch provided\, but no further catering so
participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks.</p>\n\n<h2>Backgr
 ound Knowledge</h2>\n\n<h3>Q|GAME&gt\;</h3>\n\n<p>Tailored towards beginn
er coders/participants with an interest in Quantum Computing but little e
xperience\, no background knowledge is required to have fun during a Q|GA
ME&gt\; event. This said\, there will be opportunities to learn Quantum C
omputing basics\, such as Creating basic circuits\, using simulators and
 interpreting the results.</p>\n\n<h3>Q|Torial&gt\;</h3>\n\n<p>Q|Torials&g
t\; are split into a storified presentation and a workshop. The presentat
ion&#39\;s content will build from the fundamentals and will progress swi
ftly through the topic covered e.g.\, Linguistics or Psychology. The work
shop will then be an opportunity for participants to move at their own pa
ce and apply knowledge learned during the presentation. These workshops w
ill include checkpoints for different experience levels\, from beginner t
hrough to intermediate and advanced. These three levels are broken down a
 s follows:</p>\n\n<table border="1" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" style
 ="width:500px\;">\n	<tbody>\n <tr>\n <td style="width: 89px\;">Level</
 td>\n <td style="width: 397px\;">Background Knowledge</td>\n </tr>\n
 <tr>\n <td style="width: 89px\;">Beginner</td>\n <td style="width: 39
7px\;">No background knowledge is assumed at this level. However\, curios
ity and engagement in the presentation will help!</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n
 			<td style="width: 89px\;">Intermediate</td>\n <td style="width: 397p
x\;">\n <p>Intermediate participants will have some experience using Qi
skit (knowledge of basic gates\, circuits and using Qiskit Packages)\, an
d with Quantum Computing Mathematics\, such as Linear Algebra.</p>\n </
 td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td style="width: 89px\;">Advanced</td>\n <td
style="width: 397px\;">Advanced participants will be familiar with a rang
e of Quantum Computing Algorithms such as Grover&#39\;s Algorithm.</td>\n
 		</tr>\n	</tbody>\n</table>\n\n<h2>Event Schedule</h2>\n\n<p>TBC</p>\n\n
<h1>Event Descriptions</h1>\n\n<p>The events being held over the weekend
 include Q|GAME&gt\;\, Q|Torial&gt\; and a Q|Athon&gt\; (Quantum Hackathon
)- extentions of regular events ran by the society over the term. With th
e background knowledge required&nbsp\;established\, here is what to expec
 t from each one.</p>\n\n<h2>Q|GAME&gt\;: Quantum Fractals</h2>\n\n<p>Quan
tum Fractals is a session which will focus on the computation of fractal
formation using Quantum Circuits. It will begin with a 30 minute&nbsp\;pr
esentation introducing the topic of fractals (its history\, mathematics a
nd the different types of fractals that exist) and how we can use and und
erstand Quantum Circuits through expanding creative fractal generation op
tions. The coding notebooks\, which will be available to participants aft
er the presentation\, will be described before the workshop gets underway
. Participants will then begin the workshop at their recommended level\,
and will code for 1 hour until the event finishes.</p>\n\n<h2>Q|Torial&gt
\;: Quantum Linguistics</h2>\n\n<p>Quantum Linguistics begins with a stor
ified presentation following the characters Alice\, Bob and Eve in the la
nd of Q|Ystopia&gt\;. Throughout their journey\, they will realise the re
lationship between&nbsp\;the fields of Linguistics (the study of language
formation) and Quantum Computing. After this 30 minute presentation\, th
e coding workshop will begin. This workshop will be organized similarly t
o the Quantum Fractals workshop- participants will begin at their levels
checkpoint\, and will then probe topics explored in the presenation for a
 n hour.</p>\n\n<h2>Q|GAME&gt\;: Quantum Chess</h2>\n\n<p>Details TBC</p>\

\; the society&rsquo\;s members will learn skills such as creative brains
torming and collaboration as well as improve their quantum knowledge and
gain valuable career insight. Our mission motivates both STEM and non-STE
M students to probe into creative uses of Quantum Computing within an enc
 ouraging environment.</p>\n\n<h2>Vision</h2>\n\n<p>Q|Topia&gt\; will beco
me an innovative quantum learning hub with its members being from diverse
backgrounds. This innovation will express itself in the creation of a su
stainable and continually evolving quantum start up within the next few y
ears\, propelling the society towards being an active international colla
borator with leading quantum organizations that resonate with its values.
This new outreach will allow members to gain industry-level experience\,
improve their CVs and network with potential future co-workers. With thi
s vision in mind\, Q|Topia&gt\;&rsquo\;s impact will be transformative bo
th for members and the field of Quantum Computing.</p>\n\n<p>Focusing on
the forthcoming global significance of Quantum Computing\, the society&rs
