 elcome!</h1>\n\n<h3>Hey! Welcome to Q|Topia&gt\;&#39\;s 2023 Qiskit fall
fest\, based at the Univeristy of Leicester and online. Qiskit fall fest
is a world winter series of student run events on University campuses. Th
ese events primarily focus on developing community competence and knowled
ge in the increasingly impactful field of Quantum Computing using Qiskit-
IBM&#39\;s Quantum Computing Python package. At Leicester\, this multidi
sciplinary\, begginer friendly event will be over the weekend of the 25th
and 26th of November. You can expect lots of inspiring conversation\, ne
tworking\, experimenting with educational games and artwork\, learning of
fundamentals and a challenging hackathon with a financial prize! Read on
to find out more about this exciting event.</h3>\n\n<h1>Participants&#39
 \; Guidebook</h1>\n\n<h2>Registration</h2>\n\n<p>All participants are req
uired to complete an online form before buying event tickets. This can be
found here [insert link]. There is no limit on the number of online part
icipants\, however the in-person participants limit per day is 150. If yo
u&#39\;re applying for the Hackathon\, applicaitons will be shortlisted t
o 20 in person and 20 remote hackers. Thus\, we cannot guarantee the cons
tancy of the application deadline- if spaces run out sooner\, application
s will close early so make sure to book your ticket soon!</p>\n\n<h2>What
to bring</h2>\n\n<p>During the event\, we will provide computers and hea
dphones for participants to use during the event. There will be lunch pro
vided\, but no further catering so participants are encouraged to bring t
 heir own snacks.</p>\n\n<h2>Background Knowledge</h2>\n\n<h3>Q|GAME&gt\;<
/h3>\n\n<p>Tailored towards beginner coders/participants with an interest
in Quantum Computing but little experience\, no background knowledge is
required to have fun during a Q|GAME&gt\; event. This said\, there will b
e opportunities to learn Quantum Computing basics\, such as Creating basi
c circuits\, using simulators and interpreting the results.</p>\n\n<h3>Q|
Torial&gt\;</h3>\n\n<p>Q|Torials&gt\; are split into a storified presenta
tion and a workshop. The presentation&#39\;s content will build from the
fundamentals and will progress swiftly through the topic covered e.g.\, L
inguistics or Psychology. The workshop will then be an opportunity for pa
rticipants to move at their own pace and apply knowledge learned during t
he presentation. These workshops will include checkpoints for different e
xperience levels\, from beginner through to intermediate and advanced. Th
ese three levels are broken down as follows:</p>\n\n<table border="1" cel
 lpadding="1" cellspacing="1">\n	<tbody>\n		<tr>\n			<td>Level</td>\n			<t
 d>Background Knowledge</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Beginner</td>\n <t
d>No background knowledge is assumed at this level. However\, curiosity a
nd engagement in the presentation will help!</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <t
 d>Intermediate</td>\n <td>\n <p>Intermediate participants will have s
ome experience using Qiskit (knowledge of basic gates\, circuits and usin
g Qiskit Packages)\, and with Quantum Computing Mathematics\, such as Lin
 ear Algebra.</p>\n </td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Advanced</td>\n <td
 >Advanced participants will be familiar with a range of Quantum Computing
  Algorithms such as Grover&#39\;s Algorithm.</td>\n </tr>\n	</tbody>\n</
 table>\n\n<h2>Event Schedule</h2>\n\n<p>TBC</p>\n\n<h1>Event Descriptions
</h1>\n\n<p>The events being held over the weekend include Q|GAME&gt\;\,
Q|Torial&gt\; and a Q|Athon&gt\; (Quantum Hackathon)- extentions of regul
ar events ran by the society over the term. With the background knowledge
required&nbsp\;established\, here is what to expect from each one.</p>\n
 \n<h2>Q|GAME&gt\;: Quantum Fractals</h2>\n\n<p>Quantum Fractals is a sess
ion which will focus on the computation of fractal formation using Quantu
m Circuits. It will begin with a 30 minute&nbsp\;presentation introducing
the topic of fractals (its history\, mathematics and the different types
of fractals that exist) and how we can use and understand Quantum Circui
ts through expanding creative fractal generation options. The coding note
books\, which will be available to participants after the presentation\,
will be described before the workshop gets underway. Participants will th
en begin the workshop at their recommended level\, and will code for 1 ho
ur until the event finishes.</p>\n\n<h2>Q|Torial&gt\;: Quantum Linguistic
s</h2>\n\n<p>Quantum Linguistics begins with a storified presentation fol
lowing the characters Alice\, Bob and Eve in the land of Q|Ystopia&gt\;.
Throughout their journey\, they will realise the relationship between&nbs
p\;the fields of Linguistics (the study of language formation) and Quantu
m Computing. After this 30 minute presentation\, the coding workshop will
begin. This workshop will be organized similarly to the Quantum Fractals
workshop- participants will begin at their levels checkpoint\, and will
then probe topics explored in the presenation for an hour.</p>\n\n<h2>Q|G

 ents such as Q|Torials&gt\;\, Q|GAME&gt\; and Q|Athons&gt\; the society&r
squo\;s members will learn skills such as creative brainstorming and coll
aboration as well as improve their quantum knowledge and gain valuable ca
reer insight. Our mission motivates both STEM and non-STEM students to pr
obe into creative uses of Quantum Computing within an encouraging environ
 ment.</p>\n\n<h2>Vision</h2>\n\n<p>Q|Topia&gt\; will become an innovative
quantum learning hub with its members being from diverse backgrounds. Th
is innovation will express itself in the creation of a sustainable and co
ntinually evolving quantum start up within the next few years\, propellin
g the society towards being an active international collaborator with lea
ding quantum organizations that resonate with its values. This new outrea
ch will allow members to gain industry-level experience\, improve their C
Vs and network with potential future co-workers. With this vision in mind
\, Q|Topia&gt\;&rsquo\;s impact will be transformative both for members a
nd the field of Quantum Computing.</p>\n\n<p>Focusing on the forthcoming
global significance of Quantum Computing\, the society&rsquo\;s purpose l
ies in enabling individuals to navigate the Quantum industry and create c
hange through developing Quantum Computing knowledge and skillsets.</p>\n
