What is it?

\n\n

Our Giv e-It-A-Go sessions are your opportunity to take to the skies and fly a gl ider at some of the cheapest rates possible. We will offer you one winch launch with the possibility of you paying for additional launches if you wish.

\n\n

Where is it?

\n\n

We fly from our h ome club\, The Gliding Centre at Husbands Bosworth which is about 25 minu tes away from campus. We will arrange all your transportation\; however\, if you would prefer to meet us there\, then you are more than welcome to do this\; just let us know!

\n\n

When is it?

\n \n

Saturday 5th \;October! We will meet on campus in the morning\, travel to the airfield\, fly during the day\, and leave in the evening.

\n\n

How much does it cost \;is it?

\n\n
This session costs £\;20\, which covers one winch lau nch in a glider with a qualified instructor. Subject to availability\, if you wish to take additional launches\, you can join as a paid member of the flying team and then pay for additional launches\; these are expected to cost around £\;15 for a winch launch.
\n\n
What abo ut the weather?
\n\n
As with all flying activities\, weathe r plays a crucial role in whether we can take to the skies. Unfortunately \, poor weather conditions such as strong winds or low visibility can mea n that the session might need to be cancelled\, sometimes at very late no tice. If this happens\, we&rsquo\;ll do our best to reschedule the sessio n for another date\, but you&rsquo\;ll receive a \;refund if that' \;s not possible. Keep an eye on your emails and/or messages for any last -minute updates. We appreciate your understanding in case we need to make any changes.

Are there any restrictions on who can fly ?
\n\n
People over 6'\; 3"\; will probably not fit i nto a glider.
\n\n
For safety\, all gliders have an upper limit for their pilots. This means we unfortunately cannot take anyone flying if th ey weigh over 103kg\, including the weight of clothing.
\n\n
