e Big Green Move is again happening from today until 11th July 2026
\n
\nThe Big Green Move is a project in collaboration with the accom
modation team that encourages students to donate usable items during move
-out season. Items will be reused or donated locally as part of our Commu
nity Pop Up Shop project\, which provides a space for students to swap or
buy pre-loved and affordable items while supporting the new Access Fund.
\n
\nWe are working with Open Hands again this year to ensure
the purpose of the donations is maximised\; all food items will be donate
d to the food bank\, to which we successfully collected and donated 25 kg
last year!
\n
\nItems that are most wanted by our collaboratin
g charity\, Open Hands:
\n\n\n - Small appliances - kettles\, to
asters\, air fryers
\n - Kitchen items - mugs\, glasses\, cutlery\,
utensils\, saucepans\, frying pans\, oven trays
\n - Bedding - cle
an duvet\, pillows\, sheets\, duvet covers \;

\nFor student accommodation residents: come and donate your stuff at the
reception boxes in both the City and the Village. (Freemans &\; Oadby
)

\nFor everyone else: come and drop your bags at the SU rec
eption in the Percy Gee Building\, Monday-Friday between 10-4 pm.
