Mark, a washed-up painter on the brink of a nervous breakdown, has locked himself in his room in a Tokyo hotel to re-invent his painting style, and has become convinced he is the first man to discover colour. Meanwhile, downstairs in the bar, his cold, promiscuous wife Miriam is alone with a young bar man attempting to relive her youth. In this obscure and forgotten play, Williams explores beauty, pain, love and humanity through the fractured marriage of Mark and Miriam... In sickness, and in health.
£1.50 per ticket and all program proceeds will go to Mind - The Mental Health Charity and Soft Touch (a local arts charity helping disadvantaged young people)

In The Bar of a Tokyo Hotel is written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Ellie Spirrett and Kerenza Wenn and will be performed in Museum Studies Hall from the 20th to the 22nd of November. Doors open 19:00 for a 19:30 start.

This amateur production of In The Bar Of A Tokyo Hotel is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
