Environmental Action Society

Want to help the environment whilst having tons of fun? This is the society for you!

We're a society that’s passionate about the wellbeing of our planet. Our aim is to provide an environmental student voice on a range of issues at the university, from the amount of paper usage in departments, to the companies the university invests in.

As well as campaigning to improve the university’s eco-footprint, we volunteer regularly to make a difference in the local environment – including conservation days, tree planting and habitat management in Leicester’s green areas.

We also host a range of events open to all students and staff at Leicester, from guest speaker talks to clothes-swap days to upcycling workshops and much more! We want to provide as many opportunities as possible for everyone to embrace a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle, and all our profits go to an environmental charity of our member’s choosing.

We’re a social bunch and everyone is welcome, whether you're a fervent environmentalist, interested in sustainability, a nature lover, or just want a chance to change your lifestyle and take action! Check out some of our upcoming events on this webpage and don’t forget to come and find us at Fresher’s fair!
