Weekly Gardening

  • Every Wednesday at Brookfield Plot 12:00 - 16:00

Into growing your own? Want a little fresh air between lectures? Or just want to have some free veg to cook at home? If so then this is the plot for you!!!

We have our very own allotment at Brookfield on London Road, run by students, along with it's own kitchen, greenhouse, shed and bee hive.

We use our sessions to maintain the plot and plant new fruits and veggies to harvest later on as well as have fun!

We also have other events throughout the year including our Halloween Festival and Christmas wreath making!

So whether you're an expert or don't know the difference between a carrot and a parsnip we would love to have you!!!!

We meet Wednesdays 12-4pm but it's very informal so just pop along anytime between those hours whether for 10 mins or the whole 4 hours!

We have lots of plans for this year and opportunities for you to help shape the future of Hungry 4 Change so come down and join in!

See our Facebook page to check out all the events coming up soon!

(Hours done with Hungry 4 Change can be put towards the Leicester Award and HEAR)

Membership: £3 for the year includes

  • Free plot sessions.
  • Pick your own fruit and veg to take home.
  • Volunteering hours for Leicester Award or HEAR.
  • Priority to attend events / days out
