Over the past 12 months, the Students' Union Social Media accounts have grown rapidly, picking up 1.5k new followers on Instagram alone. We're looking to increase the quality and volume of output and communications with our students to ensure that our content is accessible, inclusive and representative of the student body.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students looking to break in to a highly competitive industry, and to work alongside several experienced creators to further develop their skills and knowledge of both marketing and communications.

  • Working closely with our in-house Creative Communications Coordinator/Graphic Designer to shoot images and adding pre-designed overlays in Adobe Creative Suites for Social Media and Web.
  • Coordinating with departments to record and produce-campus student vox pops on key issues, writing scripts, and producing PDF text/transcribed versions of all content where required to ensure it is within the brand accessibility guidelines.
  • Producing new and innovative ideas to further the engagement of the Students’ Union social media channels.
  • Attending Officer & Students’ Union Events to assist with video and photography as and when required, and conducting interviews for audio and video output.
