Students in Self-isolation

Right now, we know that some of you may be self-isolating and finding it to be a challenge (understandably!). To help keep you busy, we've put together a list of things to keep you occupied, including puzzles and film suggestions. We hope that this makes the process a bit easier and remember we're in this together.

Before you do anything, make sure you fill out the form to let the University know you’re self-isolating, they will be in touch with support including free food and game packages.

  • Check the student resource hub that provides a range of FAQs and info around academic support including the student safety net policy.
  • To see any online SU events that you can get involved in, click here.

Keep yourself busy...

1. Challenge yourself with some Puzzles, Brainteasers & Crosswords

Puzzles are a great way to keep busy and also keep your brain active. Check out this link where you can find a variety of puzzles - enjoy!

2. Keep in touch

You can do this however frequently you want to, whether it’s with friends or members of staff, staying connected with people can make a world of difference. Is there any one you haven’t spoken to since you moved in? Are you worried about feeling a bit lonely? From familiar faces to anonymous ones at Leicester Nightline and Samaritans you can call or message someone for a chat. It’s okay if you’re not up to doing this every day.

3. Update that playlist

Make a playlist to share, rediscover your love of a certain genre or set-up a one man rave in your very own room.

4. Tune in and watch your favourites

Visit the ever-growing Netflix library or watch some classics on Disney Plus (or for £5.99 cheaper, you’ll find some series are still on YouTube).
