We know that for young lives, when the doctor says cancer, normal life stops. Cancer affects every part of life – relationships, confidence, money, school, work. CLIC Sargent care teams will fight tirelessly to limit the damage cancer causes. As Fundraising Engagement Volunteer you’ll be helping to raise awareness and increase income to CLIC Sargent by supporting the fundraising team. Your role will be to help support local events and help represent the charity in your local community. This role is varied, very flexible and essential to ensuring CLIC Sargent’s presence is felt far and wide. Undertaking 12 hours shifts overnight taking calls and Instant Messages (IMs) from students.A listener's job is to pick up the phone and listen to callers. It is a challenging and rewarding role and Nightline is always keen for open-minded and motivated volunteers to help support students. Listening volunteers are essential for the service to run, and provide assistance to callers for a variety of situations, whether it be for a taxi number, for a chat, to talk about relationship or health issues - we are there for everything.

To help out Nightline Leicester with publicity, fundraising and awareness events.Nightline is always looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to help make a difference by planning, running and organising fundraising and awareness events throughout the year. You would be a vital member of the association, promoting Nightline on campus and around Leicester, and ensuring that all Leicester students know there is a non-judgemental, non-advisory, confidential, anonymous and non-directive listening service available for them whenever they need it.
