Hi! I'm Oge and I'm your Wellbeing Officer for 2018/19. You can read a bit more about me and my role below.
Course: LLB Law with a Year Abroad
Hometown: South London
One thing most people don’t know about me: Although it is in my culture as a Nigerian to eat a lot of meat, I am vegan and an advocate for animal rights. I also love spoken word, and write in my spare time.
My role overview and purpose:
I am your Wellbeing Officer for the 2018/19 academic year. This will include ensuring a smooth transition for students, either from home or across different academic years, increasing student safety on and off campus and working hard on the promotion of positive mental and sexual health.
What do you hope to achieve this year?
My biggest aim this year, next to the promotion of diversity, is to ensure student safety. This may not be the most simplest of tasks, but I would love for university students to feel welcome at Leicester. This can be done through building better relations with Leicester City council and ensuring students are engaged with the wider community.
