The University of Leicester Palestine society is part of a greater chain of societies throughout UK universities who are concerned with helping achieve the freedom of the Palestinian people. Our main purpose is to raise awareness of the illegal occupation and human right violations against the Palestinian people through a series of talks, lectures and debates hosted by speakers and academics. Furthermore, the society will also aim to promote Palestinian culture and heritage by holding a series cultural events such as film nights and socials to provide a deeper insight into Palestinian history, literature, music, dance and food.
