Welcome to Food Rescue Volunteers!

Reduce food waste on campus?
Improve food accessibility?
Support other students through the cost-of-living crisis?
Help improve the overall sustainability at the University of Leicester?

As a society, we work together to collect food that the campus outlets can no longer sell because of their sell-by dates and deliver them to the community kitchen (in the Percy Gee Building), for students to take for free.

We run as a low-commitment society, expecting each member to cover at least one shift (approx. 15 - 30 minutes), that lasts the length of time it takes you to collect, deliver and record the food... and the BONUS is... as a member you get first choice of the food in the fridge.
