The University of Leicester's Ghanaian Society was founded in 2017 by Melika Boakye-Boateng, with the vision of uniting the Ghanaians of Leicester.

Our aim is to encourage both the commitee and members to explore the culture of Ghana together. We aim to do this by putting on a variety of meetings, activities and events. Although we aim to bring you fun and friends, we also have events to help you develop professionally, academically and personally.

An example of some events we aim to put on for you are:

  • Meet and Greet
  • Girls Cocktail Night
  • Networking events
  • Games Night
  • FIFA WORLD CUP Screening Event
  • Ghanaian Independence Day Ball
  • Social outings
