"The Volunteering Hub is something that was used a lot before the pandemic, but due to the absence of volunteering opportunities at that time, it was taken down. Now, thanks to the amazing work of Kris, with the support of the volunteering team at the University, we're relaunching it before Freshers.
It's a place for you to find volunteering opportunities in and around Leicester through a handful of organisations who have reached out to us, as well as for you to log your volunteering hours and help you to recognise what you've done in the year.
The Sustainability Hub is brand new! The idea is for students to find a central hub for everything that is going on around campus on the subject of Sustainability.
It will have regular opportunities for you to take part in to learn more about what Sustainability is and what you can do to get involved. It will also include meeting details, as well as recordings of the regular Green Bubble meetings that will happen throughout the year.
Green Bubble acts as a student sustainability group, which aims to inspire and empower students to make a positive difference to the sustainability of our campus and community through individual actions and/or collaboration.
Hopefully with this new community tab, you can search for the sports clubs and societies you want to see more easily, and can find information on more things to do as part of a Leicester student community."
