Full Time (£20,800+ a year) elected role - open to all students
The Students’ Union Executive Officers are a team of elected students who work together to represent your views and improve your experience at University. They are vital in helping our Students’ Union run smoothly, facilitating change within the University and ensuring the students’ voice is heard. Executive Officers are full-time, paid, elected positions commencing in June 2021 and it is their job to make sure the University experience at Leicester is the best it can be for all University of Leicester students.
Being an Officer is great for your personal development. You’ll gain lots of experience of project management and problem solving, as well as developing many transferable skills such as communication and teamwork. It is also a unique opportunity to develop an exceptional range of skills at director and trustee level. The role is hugely rewarding as you have the chance to enact change and help improve the Union and the University for students.
There are six roles in total - Sports Officer, Activities Officer, President, Education Officer, Wellbeing Officer and the Liberation Officer role. These roles are open to all students and will commence in late June 2021, you can either take up the role once you have finished your studies or if you aren't currently a finalist then you are able to take a year out from your studies. The elections themselves will be taking place in the first week of March with Nominations running from Wednesday 27 January to Tuesday 16 February. - Emailing our Student Voice Team to arrange a meeting with a member of the current Executive team.
- Attend one of our 'Election 101- Thinking of Running' workshops where you will be able to hear from current officers about their experiences including of their approach to running in an election. They are taking place on:-

Alternatively what about becoming a Part Time Officer?
If you aren’t in your final year and don’t wish to take a year out from your studies then we are also holding our Part Time Officer Elections at the same time. These positions commence in September 2021 and are 12 month voluntary positions that you would hold alongside your studies. You will be the first point of contact for the students you represent and will run campaigns to make a positive impact at the University of Leicester. Full training will be provided and it is an opportunity to develop an exceptional range of skills.
