Who are we?

We are the University of Leicester's Labour Society! We are a home for all students with Labour values of fairness, equality and social justice. Politics right now is a divisive place, with Nigel Farage and Reform trying to divide us against one another. For the last few years, we've been fighting for our values and for a fairer country and campus, creating a community of students with shared values. We're proud of our progressive politics and are a place for everyone. Whether you're a member of the Labour Party or not, all are welcome at our events.

What we do:

  • Run fun and varied social events for all progressive students
  • Discuss interesting Labour-related topics
  • Host important guest speakers from the Labour movement
  • Make a positive change campaigning on campus and across Leicester
  • Campaign in the wider Labour Party and politics for social justice

Sign up to our mailing list and join our Whatsapp chat (all welcome):

  • A route into making progressive change in politics.
  • Being able to stand for positions on the committee and vote in our elections for committee positions, NUS Delegate and Officer roles candidates
  • Be part of a fun community of Progressives, Socialists, Social Democrats and Trade Unionists!
