Driven by culture, built by purpose
For the last 8-years, the University of Leicester’s African Caribbean Society has been dedicated to enabling students to embrace the plethora of cultures in Africa and the Caribbean. This year, our objectives are to educate, entertain, and empower the BAME community by putting together a variety of events and activities. We would like to see a development of cultural and professional enhancement as a collective and inclusive society. As such, we aim to engage our members in various career and cultural oriented events, as well as create opportunities for practical experience with our sponsors. The African carribean society as a concept is designed to bring together a unique and diverse community, with so many different languages and cultures it’s important we study the roots behind them but also feel like we are in a space where it is accepted to express such roots!
With a brand NEW committee, we’ll be releasing plenty of events and socials throughout the year… So keep your eyes peeled 👀
