Could you lead this Student Group?

Hello! We are super excited to be relaunching the University of Leicester's very own student radio station, Galaxy Radio! Galaxy Radio was first established in 1996, and we are so happy that it is back. We are going to make it bigger and better than ever before!

We want to bring the University of Leicester community together, learning and reporting on the different aspects of life at the University of Leicester. Whether you want to start your own radio show or podcast, we have something for everyone! From talk, music and interview shows to sports, alumni talks, radio documentaries and so much more. Galaxy Radio is the place to be. If you have a new idea, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

You will be able to find us in our radio studio at the heart of campus in the Percy Gee Building.

We would love to hear from YOU.

What do you want to hear?

What shows do you want to listen to?

We are the University of Leicester Student Radio station – our focus is on YOU!

Our aim is to give students experience of radio broadcasting and journalism and show them just how fun it is as part of our overarching mission of bringing the University of Leicester community together!

We would love for you to get involved.

Our planned shows

Talk shows, interviews, local and campus news, religion, comedy, big events, revision shows, music and DJ shows, requests, careers, alumni and staff shows, breakfast and weekend shows, podcasts and so much more!
