Women’s rugby is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, and you can be a part of it now too! We’re an exciting and diverse group connected by rugby, who enjoy socialising playing rugby and having fun together!

NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! So come along and give it a try!

Training sessions are twice a week during term time, 18.00-20.00 on Tuesdays and 20.00-22.00 on Fridays at the Roger Bettles Sports Centre, near The Village in Oadby, our training sessions are for players of any experience level and ability.

We have 1 team, the matches are on Wednesdays, at Stoughton Pitches in Oadby for home games. Friendly matches are also organised to give match opportunities to everyone, as well as touch rugby games that are played regularly.

Socials are every Wednesday in the evenings run by our great social secretaries, who always come up with a fun theme, and then off to Lets Disko at the O2 academy on campus if you want. We offer social memberships for anyone who finds out rugby isn’t the sport for them, but still enjoy our socials. We also do weekend socials during the Six Nations or World Competitions, so we can watch the matches as a team.

Once a year Varsity takes place, where we play the DMU women’s rugby union team, which is an amazing way to end the season, and an unforgettable experience. Rugby Varsity is a huge event in the University’s sporting calendar and not one to be missed.

ULWRFC Year-Long Membership: £45

Team Leicester Membership: starting from £116

Match fees: £2-£4 per game

You need both a ULWRFC and a Team Leicester membership to train and play matches.

What Team Leicester Memberships do we recommend?

Standard Team Leicester Membership will ONLY cover training and matchday facility access.
