A new “what is the SU” slide was delivered at welcome talks to ensure all students with no prior knowledge know exactly who we are and what we do.
To ensure new students know what phone apps are imperative to thriving at Leicester, we displayed a new banner at registration.
In partnership with the university, we are continuing the exploration of the mitigating circumstances process. We are aiming to consult our Part-Time Officers to better understand the student experience.
I have been investigating the grievance process for the UKVI issues and we have now created a hub of information for students.
After hearing coversations in passing, I am beginning to identify key areas for mental health/illness in certain schools.
This lead me to collaborating with the head of wellbeing services to see what we can change.
I am also in discussions with staff about the “Pay the Placement” campaign and will be following up with students soon.
