The PGR Officer represents all Postgraduate Research students and makes sure their views are heard across the Students’ Union and the University. They run campaigns on key PGR issues, gather feedback from research students, and keep the PGR community informed about decisions, opportunities, and changes that affect them.

The LGBT+ Officer represents and supports LGBT+ students across the University. They work closely with the LGBTQ+ Society, lead campaigns against discrimination, influence Union and University policy, and ensure LGBT+ students have access to advice, support, and inclusive spaces.

The Accessibility Officer is the main advocate for students with disabilities and accessibility needs. They campaign for accessible spaces and inclusive policies, support students with advice and signposting, and work with the Union and University to remove barriers to full participation.

The Women’s Officer represents female identifying students and campaigns on issues such as equality, safety, and discrimination. They provide a point of contact for women seeking support, work with internal and external partners, and create spaces for women’s voices to shape Union and University decisions.

The International Officer represents international students and supports them in settling into life at Leicester. They run campaigns on international student issues, encourage engagement with the Students’ Union, and make sure international students’ views are fed back to decision-makers.

The Trans and Non-Binary Officer advocates for trans and non-binary students across the Union and the University. They tackle discrimination, work alongside the LGBT+ community, run targeted campaigns, and ensure trans and non-binary students have strong representation and support.

The Distance Learning Officer represents students studying remotely and ensures they stay connected to the Students’ Union. They gather and feedback student views, campaign on distance learner issues, and keep students informed about support, policy, and opportunities.

The Ethnic Equity Officer represents Black, Asian and ethnically diverse students and leads the Union’s anti-racism work. They run campaigns, host forums to gather student experiences, provide advice and signposting, and work with the University to improve equality and representation.

The Sports Officer represents student sport at the University and supports the development of all sports clubs. They chair the Sports Council, help deliver major events like Varsity and awards, and work to remove barriers so sport is inclusive, accessible, and thriving.

The Societies Officer represents and supports all student societies. They chair the Societies Council, help groups grow and succeed, co-host awards, and work to ensure societies are inclusive, accessible, and engaging for all students.

The Arts Officer champions arts and culture on campus and works closely with the Attenborough Arts Centre. They increase visibility for student arts, support creative projects, sit on advisory boards, and run events and campaigns to boost student participation.

The Sustainability Officer represents student views on environmental and sustainability issues across the Students’ Union and the University. They run campaigns to promote sustainable practices, support sustainability-focused student groups, and encourage students to get involved through the Sustainability Council.
