"Biscuits and Books" welcome event: 3pm - 5pm; David Wilson Library (room TBC); Our first meeting this year! Come along to escape the world of Medicine for a bit and chat about your favourite books.

UOL BARBELL Give it a Go session: 3:30pm - 6:30pm; Serious Strength Gym. 14 King Edward Rd, Loughborough LE11 1RZ; Sign up for the taster using this link below. If you are signing up, please attend, as the society is covering the fees for your attendance. Come give it a go!

Observatory Night: 7pm - 10pm; Olive Banks, The Village, LE2 2LH; Come along to our second observatory night of the academic year! We will start in Olive Banks, opposite the John Foster reception, in the Village, before heading to our beloved large telescope!

Mon 5th October

Freshers Welcome and Meet the Committee: 6pm - 7pm; Council Chambers; Come meet the committee, get to know the society, and meet fellow students! A relaxed chance to make new friends and find out what we have planned for the year ahead.

Meet and Greet: 6pm - 8pm; Meet and Greet welcome event. Everyone welcome and free pizza!

Women in STEM - Pub Quiz: 7:30pm - 10:30pm; 21 Millstone Lane, LE1 5JN.; Quiz Night, Done Right.

Sports and Entertainment Law Welcome Event: 6:30pm - 8pm; Sir Bob Burgess 1.01; Sports and Entertainment Law Society invites you to the welcome event for 2026/27 This is a great opportunity to hear what the society has to offer, and to meet other members and the committee.

BJJ GIAG Session 3: 6pm - 7:30pm; Percy Gee Room 0.13; Our Give it a go sessions are open to anybody who has an interest in the sport and wants to see if our society is the right fit for them!

LUSCR Give it a Go- session 2!: 7pm - 8:30pm; St Mary de Castro, Castle View, Leicester, LE2 7BY; Ever heard of bell ringing? Have you always heard of church bells and wondered what goes on? Well, here's your chance to come along and find out, we'll 'show you the ropes'! Everybody is welcome

Humorous Powerpoint Night (GIAG): 5:30pm - 8pm; Training Room 2.23, Percy Gee Building; Make and present a silly powerpoint badly explaining a special interest, or a random topic, on your own or in a group. Prize for the funniest presentation (and you don't have to present if you don't want to!)

Fri 9th October

Kendo Give-it-a-go Session: 6pm - 7pm; Roger Bettles Sports Centre Studio 2; Here you can have the opportunity to try Kendo, through getting to use a Shinai, learn basic principles and (most importantly) get to perform basic drills (on people with armour, of course).
