Welcome to the University of Leicester Salsa Society!
Ever wanted to move to the rhythm of Latin beats and learn Cuban Salsa? Or have you started on your Latin journey and wanted to try something new like Bachata? Now’s your chance! Join us every Friday from 5:30-7:30pm for vibrant and energetic Salsa classes, taught by the wonderful Laura and Rodolfo Roque from Havana Salsa. Or join us same time every Wednesday for smooth and flowing Bachata classes led by the amazing Dan Blair and Jodie Mallett from Sueño Events Nottingham 🪩.
No partner? No problem! Salsa and Bachata are social dances, and we'll rotate partners throughout the class, so you’ll get the chance to dance with everyone. Whether you're completely new, or a seasoned dancer, our classes are designed for all levels. Just bring your enthusiasm, and we'll help you find the rhythm! 🕺💃
Our classes all follow the same structure, 5:30 - 6:30 beginner class, 6:30 - 7:30 advanced class, 7:30 - 8:30 social dancing.

What’s Bachata?
Bachata is a smooth and romantic partner dance that originated in the Dominican Republic and has since taken the world by storm. Known for its close connection, rhythmic footwork, and sensual body movement, Bachata is danced to beautiful Latin music with a strong emotional vibe.
