Executive and Part-Time Officer Elections
Each year, we elect Executive Officers and PTOs to help us build a community where all students are empowered to thrive, belong and succeed. that students are able to succeed, This could be to make extenuating circumstances easier, improving services like the library, running community building events, creating new training for staff on how to better support their students, or even running campaigns nationally with other officers across the SU.

LGBT+ Officer
We are currently looking for an LGBT+ Officer for the 26/27 academic year. This is a paid role with you working 7 hours for 35 weeks alongside your studies. Within the role you will develop a wide range of transferable skills, be supported by the Students’ Union staff team whilst working on enhancing the experiences and building a sense of community amongst the LGBT+ students on campus. The first stage to applying for the role is to complete the LGBT+ Part-Time Officer (PTO) Application Form 2026-27 – Fill in form, please don’t utilise AI when putting together your answers for this.
All applicants will be considered by a shortlisting panel which will be formed of student leaders who self-identify as LGBT+. If you are shortlisted, you will then move forward to an online election where only students who self-identify as LGBT+ are eligible to vote. As part of the election you will be asked to submit a single-page A4 Manifesto, we will share more details of this with the shortlisted candidates but you are able to see example manifestos on the election pages.
Applications close on Monday 13 April at midday, the shortlisting panels will meet later that week with the elections commencing the week of the 27 April.
