The Leicester Dermatology Society promotes education in all things derm-related. We are hosting this annual suturing workshop in order to promote the early enforcement of necessary clinical skills. Adequate techniques in order to close different types of wounds has both positive functional and cosmetic outcomes for patients and proves a useful and necessary skill in the field of medicine. We encourage medical students, especially of younger years, to expose themselves to interesting and fun learning opportunities in spaces which foster safety and team-working. The funds raised serve to further the DermSoc's reach in being able to provide workshops like these and accommodate more students each year.
