The University of Leicester Students’ Union is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead a dynamic and creative team.  As an independent organisation representing 22,000 students, we provide a host of services and opportunities to inspire, support and entertain the students of the University of Leicester.

The Union operates in a complex campaign environment where creativity and digital literacy are essential. The Marketing & Communications department is pivotal in increasing student awareness and engagement to capitalise on the use of the Union’s services.

The role of Marketing & Communications Manager reports into the Chief Executive. This role must oversee and manage the day to day planning and execution of communications and marketing to the membership and key stakeholders and provide strategic support to internal clients and sabbatical officers.

Job Title                     Brand Ambassadors (multiple vacancies)

Location                     University of Leicester Students’ Union, LE1 7RH

Contract Type           Temporary Casual

Salary                         £7.50 per hour

Hours                         Up to 15 hours per week

 

We are looking for a team of students from across the University to help promote and execute campaigns for a number of the Students’ Union’s departments.

As a Brand Ambassador, you will be passionate about the Students’ Union and able to connect with others using a range of channels - from social media to face to face communication.

Liaising closely with our Marketing team and other departments, you will champion and promote all the services available in the Students’ Union. Brand Ambassadors are also an integral part of the team working on key events, such as Freshers Fair and Open Days.

These roles are dependent on the Union’s activities so don’t have regular or fixed hours.

Job Title                     Academic Representation Advisor

An exciting opportunity to work within a 21st century academic representation service for the students at the University of Leicester has become available. The service’s primary goal is to offer support that enables representatives to be empowered to take the relevant steps or actions to move forward with the change them and their constituency want to deliver.

We are looking for a number of students from across the University to provide this service within the Academic Representation Team. Successful candidates will be required to have a level head, exceptional customer service skills and an understanding of confidentiality. You will be able to influence positively the lives of students at the University.

The role will also involve administrative duties, and actively promoting the service and events to targeted audiences.

Promotion and Front of House Staff Member

You don’t have to be mad about the entertainment industry to work here, but it helps. We are looking for friendly and outgoing students to spread the word about our venue and our shows during the
day, and to man our Cloakroom and Box Office during our gig and club nights.

You’ll need to enjoy being out and about talking to people, as well as being a bit of a night owl who enjoys the buzz of working at our events that finish all hours of the night.

The O2 Academy Leicester is now recruiting for casual bar staff….

Here at the O2 we have a wide variety of different events taking place, from our regular club nights too some of the biggest names currently out there so if you have a passion for music then this job is perfect for you.

There’s also more to working behind the bar than just pulling pints, Good customer is paramount because we want everyone to have a good time. We need friendly, flexible people to join our bar team that often works until five in the morning.
