I am standing to be a delegate to NUS conference, alongside my friend Reed James.
Students in this country are facing a crisis. A crisis of debt, of cost of living and of opportunity. We are in line to be poorer than our parents. We are on the front line of the cost of living crisis. We are the inheritors of a world facing climate catastrophe. This cannot be allowed to continue. We need a strong, campaigning NUS that can represent and fight for students on the issues that matter, whether that be on tuition fees, accommodation and much more. A vote for me and a vote for Reed is a vote to deliver that NUS, one that represents and fights for students.
I am an experienced campaigner, having worked successfully to have Boston Borough Council declare a climate emergency in 2020. I have also been active within the Labour movement, particularly Labour Students in fighting back against the scourge of transphobia and culture war politics and for a Labour Students and Labour Party that supports free higher education and reforming the system of maintenance loans so they work for students.
Students deserve better, so lets vote for better.
