Candidate for the position of Islamic Society - General Secretary

Maahir MARATHE

My name is Maahir Marathe and I'm running for the General Secretary position in ISoc insha’Allah. Being a part of the society throughout the last 16 months as a volunteer has encouraged me to run for a position.

I aspire to run for General Secretary due to my active involvement in the society. I'm a familiar face at ISoc events, and I believe I can serve as an official point of contact for our members. My experience in ISoc as a volunteer has taught me many skills in alignment with the duties of General Secretary, and as an enthusiastic socializer, I enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network of connections. My time with ISoc has allowed me to become well acquainted with this year’s committee and has taught me a lot about the society, its future, and its history.

Being a Management student, I naturally feel drawn to play a more active position in society, one that calls for dependability and responsibility. As a volunteer, I currently undertake the tasks of facilitating events, coordinating different aspects of the community, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

I am driven to make a meaningful impact on our society. I am dedicated to coordinating engaging events, informative talks, and enjoyable social gatherings that enrich the experience of our members, and I believe in constantly striving for improvements, and with your support, I aim to make our society the best it can be, insha'Allah!
