I have been a very creative individual from a young age. When I was three years old, I would sit underneath our dining table writing original songs (albeit, most of the lyrics were gibberish, I would create my own melody). Recently, I started a Youtube channel over the summer holiday. What I really love about being creative, is the ability to be authentic and create original content. I love writing new songs, editing videos, and just creating in general. There is something so beautiful about the process of making your ideas become tangible products. During sixth form, I would organise open mic events and ted talks under a co-curricular activity which I created myself. Our aim was to provide a platform where students could express themselves through poetry, essays, pictures and just about anything, without the fear of being judged. They were able to send us a submission to put up on our blog anonymously, under a pseudonym or under their real names. I am confident that I will have more ideas that can help diversify the creative initiative that the student body at the University of Leicester can take.
