I’m Hannah and I’m a third year Ancient History and Archaeology student. I have also been on the committee of the Jewish society for the past two academic years, last year as social secretary and this year as president. I believe strongly in interfaith dialogue as a way to overcome barriers in our society; this is a way to tackle the hugely important issue of hate and discrimination at university and in the wider world. I believe that interfaith spaces are one of the best places for social action to grow, and I hope to be able to create an environment where, through beliefs held in common, we can galvanise the student body in taking part in making our society safer and more accepting, for example by facilitating discussion or shared charitable projects between faith societies. I stand with students of all faiths and none, and am committed to learning more about others while speaking up for my own community.
