Advancing Race Equality Staff and Student Focus Group

Tue 29 October 2019 10:30-12:30

Percy Gee Building, Students Union Office

Advancing race equality is an institutional priority for both the University of Leicester, and the Students’ Union. As such, a range of projects have been taking place to begin to recognise and identify specific barriers to race equality within the University. To build on the work being undertaken by the University and Students Union, focus groups will be conducted, during Black History Month, to further explore the views and experiences of BAME staff and students.

It is important the voices of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) staff and students are not only heard during these focus groups, but the information shared is used to directly contribute to our future race equality strategy and programme of work.

To find out more about the student focus groups please contact Lily Patrick, SU Research and Policy Development Coordinator: lfp9@le.ac.uk
