The Men’s cricket club is a high performing and supported club at the University of Leicester. The first, second and third XIs compete in the BUCS Midlands Leagues at a highly competitive level.
We offer a place for everyone, whether you play at county level or have never picked up a bat before and fancy a go!
We’re a year-round club, with something going on all the time. Throughout the winter, training sessions run twice a week, with excellent coaching opportunities coming from our partnership with local Leicestershire Premier League club Kibworth CC. This partnership also offers further chances to play a high standard of local cricket throughout the summer.
These months offer a brilliant opportunity to develop all aspects of our game and provide the basis for selection for the indoor and outdoor BUCS competition. As well as BUCS, varsity is also always a highlight, which is held at the home of Leicestershire CCC Grace Road.
The social side of the club is another aspect in which we thrive. From the infamous four-legged beer race to the Sports Dinner, you can bet there’s never a dull moment when ULCC are involved! Events are held every fortnight throughout the year to help create a strong and inclusive club.
Whatever your ability, you’ll be welcome. So come and join us - and enjoy a club which is friendly, sociable and a great place to meet new people.
