⚔ What we’re all about

At Leicester Fencing, most of our members start with zero experience — so you don’t need to worry if you’ve never held a sword before. We foster a community that values:

• Strong social bonds — training, matches, and socials where everyone feels welcome

Whether you want to fence for fun, challenge yourself competitively, or simply enjoy the social side of things, you’ll find your place here.

⚔ Competitions & weapons

We train and compete in all three fencing weapons: Foil, Épée, and Sabre. As members of BUCS (British University & College Sport), our teams travel and compete across the country. But you can choose your level — casual sessions or competitive squads.

⚔ Social & community

Fencing isn’t just about the piste. We run socials, film nights, and themed events, giving you plenty of opportunity to hang out, make friends, and enjoy university life beyond the sport.
