Ultimate Frisbee is a self-refereed non-contact team sport and one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. It is played both indoors and outdoors (grass and beach) making it perfect all year-round! Who are the Jesters?
Leicester 'Jesters' is the name of the Ultimate Frisbee team here at the University of Leicester. The Jesters strive for a fun and inclusive environment for all in anything that we do; including at our socials, training sessions and tournaments. We;
- Regularly attend both fun and competitive tournaments all throughout the year, and even host our own every summer here in Leicester!
- Focus on 'the spirit of the game'.
- Have access to GB-level coaches.
- Have a strong emphasis on the performance and the development of our players, whilst having fun!

Training Times
Training times are listed below and will most likely not be changed.
We have a Tuesday 8pm till 10pm session at the RB Rugby pitch which will be open to everyone and will be our main session of the year.
We have a 3 hour indoor session on Friday at Charles Wilson (7pm till 10pm). This session will be split as between a women's only session followed by training for the first and second mixed team. (Invite only)
We have an indoor slot on Saturdays at Charles Wilson (8pm till 10pm). This session will be open to everyone (Games and skills focused)
Finally we have a Sunday RB astro slot that as of now we have no plans for but can be used in the future. Anyone is welcome to use this slot.

FAQ
Q: I’ve never played Frisbee before, is that a problem?
A: Not at all, the majority of people pick up Frisbee while at uni so everyone is learning at the same time.
Q: How often are games?
A: We play BUCS games every Wednesday afternoon, either at home in Oadby or away with travel provided. There are also regular tournament weekends, where we go away for a weekend to play multiple games; these are either BUCS tournaments or fun ones!
Q: What costs are associated with Ultimate Frisbee?
A: Team membership: £25
Team Leicester membership: £100 or Gold gym membership: £150 (The Gold gives you access to both university gyms for the whole year)
Other costs: travel to tournaments & entry fee - £10-20 per tournament (We do try our best to keep costs as low as we can throughout the year :))
Q: What do I need to bring to trainings?
A: Please turn up in sports attire and trainers. Bring a bottle of water as well. For outdoor trainings, footballs boots are useful but not essential.
