Welcome to the University of Leicester Gymnastics Team

Who are we?

We are the gymnastics team for the University of Leicester. We have only been running since 2024, so we are a very new society, but our first year has been incredibly successful and rewarding. We’ve built a vibrant and inclusive community for students of all abilities, whether you’re an elite gymnast, complete beginner looking to try something new or rekindling an old hobby. Our society offers a mix of training sessions, social events, and opportunities to compete. In 2024-2025 we competed in the UGC league and in 2025-2026 we will be competing in BUCS. We take pride in fostering a supportive environment where everyone can progress at their own pace while having fun and building lasting friendships and communities.

Memberships

We hold 2 weeks of give it a go sessions at the start of the first and second semester, which are free of any fees and allows you to see if the society is for you/ what you can expect. 

After these 2 weeks, we offer a few options to access our training:

• There are 3x £3 pay as you go tickets available for the year - made for those who would like to attend a few more sessions before purchasing a membership or only plan to attend training up to 3 times. 
• Memberships:
  • Regular membership - £85 – for those planning to train regularly (or at least more than 3 times) – no additional training fees will be required with this membership, competition entry costs are covered, and a quarter zip is included in this price
  • Social memberships - £15 – for those not looking to train/ compete – would like to attend just socials

Those wanting to compete in BUCS will need to additionally purchase a leotard for £60, however more information will be provided closer to the time.
