
What is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate Frisbee is a self-refereed non-contact team sport and one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. It is played both indoors and outdoors (grass and beach) making it perfect all year-round! Who are the Jesters?
Leicester 'Jesters' is the name of the Ultimate Frisbee team here at the University of Leicester. The Jesters strive for a fun and inclusive environment for all in anything that we do; including at our socials, training sessions and tournaments. We;
- Regularly attend both fun and competitive tournaments all throughout the year, and even host our own every summer here in Leicester!
- Focus on 'the spirit of the game'. - Have access to GB-level coaches.
- Have a strong emphasis on the performance and the development of our players, whilst having fun!

FAQ
Q: I’ve never played Frisbee before, is that a problem?
A: Not at all, the majority of people pick up Frisbee while at uni so everyone is learning at the same time.
Q: How often are games?
A: We play BUCS games every Wednesday afternoon, either at home in Oadby or away with travel provided. There are also regular tournament weekends, where we go away for a weekend to play multiple games; these are either BUCS tournaments or fun ones!
Q: What costs are associated with Ultimate Frisbee?
A: Team membership: £25
Team Leicester membership: £100 or Gold gym membership: £150
Other costs: travel to tournaments & entry fee - £10-20 per tournament
Q: What do I need to bring to trainings?
A: Please turn up in sports attire and trainers. Bring a bottle of water as well. For outdoor trainings, footballs boots are useful but not essential.
