Whether you are a fresher in your first year or a student in your second or third year, we would be happy to welcome you to the ULNC family! We have many girls that have decided to join after their first year and even switch from another sport to Netball. Postgraduates make up 11% of the club demographic.

Facilities and Personal Opportunities:
We have access to great sporting facilities at the University; training will either be in the Danielle Sports Centre on campus or the Roger Bettles Sports Centre in Oadby. Not to mention our amazing coaches, Jess and Georgi, who has helped to coach England U19's . With both being experienced Netball players they offer not only experienced advice but great insight in terms of gameplay. We also offer a number of different opportunities to the members with current girls planning on undertaking their level 1 Umpire qualifications. In terms of individual sucess, we are lucky to have a member of our 1's playing for Loughborough Lightning's U21 team this past season as well as some girls continuing to play in regional teams alongside university netball and their studies. Every year there is also the opportunity to run for a position of the Commitee, who focus on the running of the club, or Netball Officer, who is in charge of the Social Netball squad and works with England Netball to maintain a flexible sporting opportunity for students. This year we have initiatives working on the wellbeing, safety and career opportunities of members.
Social Opportunities:
Apart from that, we also have regular socials throughout the year for all members of the club and every member is put into a netball family. If you're looking for a big family to join when you come to University Netball is definitely the club for you! We often have joint socials with other sports teams to help members to socialise and meet a wide range of people. ULNC are also proud to host an annual 'Old Girls' event in which we welcome back ULNC alumni. Socials are themed evening events that usually follow on to the Student Union - 02 Leicester. We have a range of socials from movie nights to adventure golf for those who love to relax to big nights out at the O2, there will be a social for everyone's interests!

Each year we go on an annual tour, it’s a great way to make friends, meet new people and have the ultimate student experience - and all as cheap as chips! We also hold campus wide events including last year's bone marrow donation station in conjunction with Anthony Nolan.
