Our club has a place for everyone interested in netball! We welcome a variety of different levels- giving all our new members an oppportunity to get involved.
Within the club there are five competitive BUCS teams, one local league team and our campus league. No matter what level you join the club at, the training sessions lead by our dedicated coaches will be integral to your growth and development.
As well as becoming part of one of our many netball teams, we have many different social events throughout the year, which are a great way to meet new people. Some of the events that take place are weekly themed socials at our Student Union, movie nights, team meals, watching superleague matches and many others to ensure everyone feels a part of our club. One of our biggest events is varsity in which we put three teams forward to play against DMU; we hope to continue our victory this coming year.
Teams will be confirmed after trials- please do not purchase memberships until prompted by committee
All new players will have to pay a £7 trial fee: Available from the poduct tab at the top of this page- you will not be able to trial without proof of purchase.

British University and College Sports is the national governing body for higher education sport in the UK.
BUCS netball teams compete in a variety of performance tiers. Games are played weekly, on a Wednesday, where teams will travel across the midlands or host another team.
At ULNC we have 5 Competitive BUCS teams that compete in the midlands division across several tiers. These teams require commitment and hard working players.
Teams will also take part in Cup knockout competitions where a larger variety of teams across the midlands will go head to head.

Local League comprises of 5 divisions - Premiership, Championship, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3, catering for all levels of netball.
This league competes against other teams in the wider Leicester area.
Games are played weekly, on a Tuesday evening, where players travel to Soar Valley College to compete.
Whilst our Local League is not included in our BUCS teams, we still require almost the same commitment and dedication, lessening the pressure of far distance travelling in BUCS.
As Local League train with our 4s and 5s BUCS teams the training opportunities from both competitive sides of the club are equal.

Campus League is our non-competitive side of the club.
We submit 1-3 teams into our campus league, which the club runs themselves.
This gives our members the ability to still improve their skills and play netball without the commitment to weekly training etc.
Alongside this, other sports teams and societies enter teams to give their members access to Netball without the commitment to BUCS. This means that if you are still wanting to play netball, alongside another sport, but in a more social space, you are able to. Some examples of past teams include: Hockey Netball, Cycling Netball and Law Netball.
This league is also a mixed league meaning it is completly accessbile to anyone on campus.
