There is always a rumour that you have to rent now to get the best houses. This is not true!
There is plenty of student accommodation in Leicester and some students who rush too early to rent can have more problems with their properties and housemates than those who wait.
We’re therefore encouraging you not to rush into looking at properties or feel pressured by landlords into signing a contract that could cause problems for you when moving in.
Remember, you’ll be living in your house for a year, so you want to make sure that you’re making the right decision. Whether you’re after big bedrooms or for your house to be close to campus, it’s important to take your time and really think about what it is you’re looking for.
Read through our Step-by-step guides for more information on House Hunting.
Please note: Most private landlords would still hold students liable to pay rent for their tenancy, regardless of any impact the Covid situation might have. More information in regards to this is available here.
