During the summer exam period of 2019 we brought you three three weeks of activities desgined to help keep your stress levels down. Throughout the weeks we turned our office in the SU (above Gee's) into a dedicated chillout zone - complete with blankets, rugs, cushions, relaxing music and books, along with loads of other free events!
Events during the campaign included:
SU 'Chillout Hub'
Drop into the SU Chillout Hub to unwind with a book, listen to some calming music or get competitive with one of our board games.
Wool Workshop
Get creative by making a pom pom or by learning how to knit or crochet in our Wool Workshop.
Free Fruit Giveaway
Pop by the SU or George Davies Centre and pick up a free banana or apple to keep up your energy during exams and revision. We will be giving out recipe cards for cheap, nutritious meals too!
SU 'Chillout Hub'

We're delighted to announce that the Guide Dogs are coming back! To book your 15 minutes slot with our wonderful furry pals, simply sign in to our website and choose from one of the session times here and bring a £2 donation for the Guide Dogs charity with you on the day.
Inflatable Fun
Thanks to all of our amazing students who voted in the Executive Elections 2019, we reached our 3000 votes milestone which means we'll be bringing inflatables onto the Fielding Johnson Lawn to help bounce away that exam stress!
Barbershop
We will be turning the SU Square (outside Gee’s restaurant) into a mini barbershop, so our barbers will be giving students FREE haircuts! Come along early to avoid the queue.
House Plant Sale
Bring the outside in and brighten up your student house by treating yourself at our House Plant Sale.
Mindfulness Sessions
Every Tuesday at 1pm, the University Meditation group offers mindfulness sessions to all students and staff, where you can learn breathing techniques which help quiet the mind and bring clarity and calm to your studies or work. No prior experience is required and people new to meditation are very welcome, just come along to the University Chaplaincy on University Road to make the most of this quiet space for meditation, contemplation and mindfulness practice.
