Launch of Aspire E-Zine

Mon 07 Oct 2019 - Thu 31 Oct 2019

ASPIRE are a group of women from across academic and professional services who enrolled on the 2019 UoL Women Leading with Purpose program. As part of the project element of the programme, they are launching a themed e-zine, to promote and raise awareness of a chosen theme on issues of gender equality.

The first e-Zine will be launched during Black History Month on 7th October 2019 and will be published online, within the UoL EDI subsection of the intranet. It will include an interview with Oge Obioha, the president of UoL’s Students’ Union, exploring a range of topics such as leadership and the intersection between race and gender. The e-zine will also provide a reading list on areas such as black feminism, black women in the workplace and popular non-fiction titles. In addition, there will be signposting to some of Leicester’s BHM events.
