The Teaching Partnership Awards recognises the outstanding contribution that students have made directly to the student learning experience at Leicester. This award seeks to recognise and celebrate students as partners in their own learning, and as partners to staff at the University in improving the learning and teaching culture.
Up to six awards are given each year, with individual winners receiving £200 and group winners receiving £400 to share. All awardees also receive a certificate which will be given at the Teaching Excellence conference on the Wednesday 12 June.
Applications can based on one or more of the following:
- Developing teaching and learning support activities for other students on a course at the University (foundation, undergraduate or taught postgraduate programme; distance learning or campus-based);
- Improving student abilities and/or knowledge through an educational initiative that brings students together in innovative ways;
- Beneficial changes to teaching policy and practice, or support for student learning, brought about by representing and articulating student views effectively.
