Sexual Abuse and Misconduct

Disclaimer: Although these might be some common stages in processing a sexually violent incident, this is not a linear process, and individuals should work through the information in the way that makes sense to them and however they feel able to.

All this information can be very overwhelming, for that reason we have created a tool below that will allow you to answer yes and no questions to help inform your next steps.

Please rember always that only you can decide what path is the right one for you. Don't let anyone tell you what to do.

Initial Steps
University Disclosure

The Report and Support tool allows students to disclose any incidents regarding sexual violence or any other forms of harassment, bullying, abuse or violence: reportandsupport.le.ac.uk.

The disclosure tool is a support mechanism and does not automatically trigger a formal report. If you leave your contact details you will be assigned a trained case worker who will help you find the path that’s right for you. This can include anything from finding counselling all the way to reporting to the university or the police.

If you disclose anonymously (without leaving a contact email address), you won’t be able to receive tailored support at that time, but you can still look at your support options on the system here: reportandsupport.le.ac.uk/support or disclose again with an email address at a later date.
