I consider that students with kids are put at disadvantage around the campus, especially when it comes to using the Library. They are not particularly welcome if they choose to bring their children with. This is a big issue especially towards the end of the semester, when the assignments are piling up and also during exam period. Therefore, parents need to invest even more money in childcare and extra hours in order to be able to study.
I think that a children-friendly room where students can study, while the little ones are playing would be incredibly beneficial, and help them improve their academic performance as well.
